Collection: Reampers
A Reamper is a handy tool to have if you want to process a recorded sound through external analog gear. Run a DI track out to an actual amp and record the result, or run an amp track out through analog effects and record the result, etc.
Rather than trying to fix a bad sound in the mix, take your great performance and turn it into an entirely new sound that better suits the track. This allows you to spend your creative recording time capturing a great performance without concerning yourself with trying to capture the perfect sound at the same time. Get the performance while tracking, then re-amp that performance later to get the perfect sound in post-production. Brilliant!
