1968 Fender Telecaster

Bigsby tremolo, Vintage Yellow, Rosewood fingerboard

This guitar is in great condition for its age.  Neck is true and plenty of fret.   Frets look original with relatively little wear.  There is blue discoloration on the lower horn and bottom from the blue case liner.  Some dings and surface wear, but remarkably good condition for this vintage instrument.

Bridge pickup was replaced due to perceived slightly weak output, but the original pickup is functioning and included, shown in the photos.  All original electronics and components intact.  Includes original case, with handle missing, but the handle base plate included.

Guitar plays superbly with wonderful chime and sustain.  Action is low and clean.  Sounds like a dream tele.  Bigsby feels smooth and keeps tune very well.  Tuning machines feel tight and strong.  The neck back feels smooth with very little wear, and the neck shows some nice light maple flame you can see in the pictures.  Some hint of grain (looks like Ash) shows through the body finish, but it is difficult to see in photos.  3-way switch feels tight and solid, and pots feel solid with no issues.

Neck stamp = 3APR68B
3 = Telecaster

B = standard nut width 1-5/8”

The pots are stamped 304-6617 = produced 17th week in 1966

1 owner.  This guitar has a great history from the original owner.  It was bought new overseas back in the late 60's in Asia on military duty and sent home to the US as a gift for his son who owns it to this day.  Spent most of its life stored safe and sound in the case.  See the photos of the band and guitar from back then.
