And now for something completely different!

My personal taste runs traditional for basses. Give me a P-bass with flats, and I'll be perfectly happy. That said, every bass that Geoff Gould has sent me has knocked me out tonally. His graphite necks really do something magical to the tone of a bass; it focuses the sound in a really great way. Geoff's basses speak very clearly.

Needless to say, I approached Geoff about the possibility of him making a bass with more traditional styling (i.e. a Fender shaped object) and one of his fabulous graphite necks. I also asked him to install a Bartolini 8S pickup which is also a newfound love of mine. Geoff agreed, and here's the first of two such basses that I ordered.

The bass has not yet arrived as of 5/27, but it will be here the first week of June 2025. I've included some photos that Geoff shared of the completed bass.
